Playstation Launches Qore Network

Hey, do you love Sony? Do you value your PS3 more than the life of your friends and family? Well guess what: if you don’t buy a subscription to Qore, you’re not a fanboy-you’re nothing but a cheap (or expensive) thrill seeker who jumped on the Crash Bandicoot bandwagon.

Now that we’ve established what you are, I guess it’s safe to tell you what Qore is. Qore (pronounced “core”) is the new interactive gaming-media program delivered through PSN. It’ll be an assortment of exclusive videos and previews, developer interviews, beta invitations and demos that will presumably be available only to those who pay the hefty Qore subscription fee ($2.99 per episode, $24.99 for an annual subscription).

The premier episode, hitting tomorrow (June 5th) features supposed never-before-seen footage of the big Sony titles for the season, including Afro Samurai, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, SOCOM: US Navy Seals Confrontation, Secret Agent Clank and Soul Calibur 4. There’ll also be a slew of Blu-ray trailers, I’m sure.

One last thing: it’s hosted by Veronica Belmont, first lady of the internet. Not bad, Sony. Not bad.
