Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

So over the last week we’ve been slowly receiving more and more information on the next Banjo Kazooie game, and thank god it’s not actually going to be called “Banjo-Threeie.” Nuts and Bolts is the name, and right off the bat a good number of fans have been scared shitless at the thought of the next bear-bird iteration being a racing game.

Well, by now we can rest assured that, though it’s going to be vehicle heavy, it’s definitely still a platformer. A gorgeous platformer. You can find the video premiere and more info after the jump.

Sure, there’ve been leaks all week long, but today was Microsoft’s official release of the trailer and the bulk of BK3 info. One surprise is that Nuts & Bolts will feature multiplayer modes, online confirmed, local is still unknown. We also know that among the multiplayer options, “Co-op Challenges” will be a feature, but the “challenges” part all but rules out an actual co-op campaign.

As for the vehicle-heavy nature of the trailers and screens, Rare’s said that yes, vehicles are the focus in a large chunk of the game, but for those not crazy on customization and unique vehicle creation, you’ll be able to get by on the pre-made vehicles automatically available in the story mode. There’ve also been hints at the ability to share your customized vehicles as user created content online. Not too shabby on the bells and whistles, BK.
