Pole-Dancing on the Wii?

As a Wii owner and pole dance instructor (for fitness purposes, I swear) my passions rarely collide. That being said, last night I had a crazy dream. I dreamt that there was a pole dancing game for the Wii. Improbable, yes? After giving it some thought, it occurred to me Nintendo would never let this happen because pole dancing is still associated with stripping and other adult nastiness (ignorance!).

To my surprise, the company Peekaboo Pole Dancing, known for their Carmen Electra Pole products, is in the market for a partner to develop a pole dancing Wii game. Even though it would be a fitness based game, it will be interesting to see if Nintendo, known for clean family fun, will allow such a risqué game to hit the market.

I suppose the idea would centre around using a ceiling-to-floor pole peripheral, which doesn’t sound easy for retailers or consumers to swallow. I’m not exactly sure how you could use the Wii remote and Nunchuck to emulate a fireman-spin or descending angel, but if this game does make it to North America, you can bet that I’ll be first in line to try it out.
