GTA IV: Complete with Ricky Gervais
The trickle of information the rabid fanboys have been receiving over the past months is quickly turning into an unstoppable torrent of news. We’ve heard detailed reports of the different multiplayer modes, rough estimates of the size of the city, as well as the new rumour that DLC on the 360 version of the game could cover new full cities. However, the latest mini-announcement blew the roof off all of ‘em.
Ricky Gervais, the man himself, will make an appearance in the game in the Liberty City Comedy Club. Players will get to experience some of his material from his Fame tour, as well as three minutes of new comedic content exclusive to GTA IV. Gervais apparently did the recording as well as motion capturing for his character, so we can expect the full simulated experience.
“It’s a first, which always interests me,” stated Gervais. “It was shot in New York, and I got to wear a tight Lycra suit as part of the digital process. That wasn’t so good. Unfortunately they captured the whole horror, except I look slightly tougher.
The continued merging of Hollywood and the gaming industry isn’t all bad…
