You Have To Burn The Rope

Have you played this game? If you have, skip to the next paragraph… You haven’t played this game? Dear lord, go play it, it’ll take you 45 seconds! Go!

Well, I guess you know what an awesome game this is, now. You’re not the only one; the gaming blogosphere has exploded over this thing. It’s just one grain of sand in the beach of student games, but, but perhaps even accidently, Burn The Rope has touched on an emerging philosophy that games needn’t punish gamers–that a game can still be challenging and rewarding without being unforgiving.

Very interesting. You can’t judge a game like this by how it plays, or the way it looks (although it looks and plays fine). This game’s all about how you feel when it’s done. It’s all about the emotional reaction you have.

Every game should have a congratulatory song at the end of it. Very catchy.
