Force Unleashed Gets Dated
Lucasarts has announced the official release dates for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, (or, “Fun with Physics in Space,” the earlier tentative title) and September’s the word, people. The action/adventure brings the Stormtrooper Love to North America on September 16th, Southeast Asia and Australia on the 17th, and Europe on the 19th. It’s a long way off, so I wouldn’t doubt that the release date could be shook up a little ‘twixt now and then.
All we really know about the title (besides the fact that it utilizes three separate physics engines!) is that the game puts you in control of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, who we can only assume was kept from the public due to his embarrassing inability to hold a Lightsaber correctly. Highlights include using/unleashing your force powers to move things, lightning-ing the shit out of an unsuspecting Rancor.
In an impressive display of confidence, the release date(s) refer to all the different SKUs of the game. The Force Unleashed will appear simultaneously on the Wii, PS2, PSP, and DS, but the big hitters in the Jedi-show are the titles developed on the 360 and PS3, where the majority of the physics fun will take place.

Ouch, he’s gonna have to deal with some serious carpel tunnel issues if he holds the lightsaber like that all the time.
I don’t know why, but I am really really looking forward to this title.
